The Transgendered Train
by Becca

Think of life as a Train that is on Railroad Tracks, tracks that we as Transgendered individuals follow in our life’s journey...

For most of us in the TG Community we start (usually at a very young age 4, 5, 6 +/- years of age) we start having, in some form or another, a greater appreciation of those things feminine. This greater appreciation is most times expressed in some form of a fascination with women's clothing. (Don't ask why, we don't know) This seems to be a very common start for most all of us. No matter where the final destination is that we end up at in going down life's `railroad' tracks, this set of life's tracks that winds and (zig zags) through each of our own individual life's journey, leads us all somewhere.

So lets start, we have this young boy age 5 to what ever age, and he finds, for some reason, that his mommy's, his sisters, his cousins, or some other female's clothing fascinating. Somehow this fascination leads him to trying them on (for what ever reason) so he tries on some of these clothes and he finds it nice.

At this `point' in his life, I like to say he has now boarded the Transgendered Train. Now the tracks that this train runs on run a long, long way down this road of life, zig zaging around hills, down through deep valleys, up over high hills, all through out different types of countryside, but it is all one thing, it is called "life's journey".

Along these tracks that this Transgendered Train is traveling there are several, several train stations along the way, where this Transgendered Train has to stop. At each one of train stations where the train stops, there is a town full of people, and everyone on the train has to get off and walk around and look at the town and meet the people. Now this first train station that the train comes to and stops, let’s name that station ‘Occasional Crossdresser’.

At this station everyone gets the opportunity to look around the community for a while, and a bunch of the folks decide ‘hey this is a great place, I think I'll settle down and live here’. So they stay, no need for them to get back on the train, they are happy right here!

But for the some of the folks, this is a nice place but it doesn't quite have all the things they need, so these folks get back on thetrain. The train again starts on down the tracks and soon they come to another station.  Let’s name this community, ‘Average Crossdresser’.

All the folks again have to get off the train, they all look around, and most all of them say ‘this is great’, these people stay and live the rest of their life right there, completely happy.

But for a small few it is still not enough, so they get back on the train and it continues zig zaging on down life's rail road tracks. As the train goes on, the train makes several more stops, a few of the folks getting off at each station as the tracks wind along.

Finally the train comes to the end of the Crossdressing Tracks and the train stops, the conductor walks down the train and notices 99% of all the people have gotten off the train, except for just these last very few. These last few look out the window of the train and say ‘Hey, we’re at the end of the Tracks and we still haven't found a place where we feel completely comfortable, so now what do we do?’

The conductor looks at them and points across the way and says you have to switch trains if you want to go further. So now the few that are left, they are faced with a very, very big decision! Do they stay here, where they are and live the rest of their lives unhappy or do they board that other train over there, the train called "Transsexual".

Whoa! THAT a hard decision to make, but these very few that are still left on the train, they are so lost and so unhappy that they feel they must go on, they must get on that other train, and ride that train even further hoping to find their happiness.  For most of those last few that got on that other train, the railroad tracks lead to happiness. But the unfortunate thing is for some that got on to that last train, visiting the various stations along the way, they still don't find happiness, and the sad part is there are no more train stations. They find out that riding that last train really didn't fix all their problems.

Friends, I hope this little story didn't bore you to much! But this truly was the very story that, many, many years ago a good friend used to describing the path, the journey, of the Railroad Tracks and the  Transgendered Train that traveled it.

We are all different, we all feel different, we all think different and we all want different things in life, no one individual is right and no one individual is wrong...

There is only one thing we `all' are, we 'all' are individuals.

Each stops at different stations as we zig zag along the tracks of life. Everyone along the 'Tracks' of life needs help, in one way or the other, at one time or another, we don't turn anyone away, but we here in the Garden we feel we can most help those that don't want to switch trains, but our stations doors are open to all if need be....... in providing support, information and help to the Wives and SO's of CD's, along with the wife/so we also try to give support and help to the Crossdresser. All with the idea, and in the hopes of opening a knowledgeable, informed and effective lines of communication between the two, which hopefully will lead to a better understanding of his need of Crossdressing.

However in addition to the above `primary' purpose, we also try to help `anyone' in the overall Transgendered Community, anyone that is in need of help. We do not and will not discriminate when a person needs help, be they CD, TV, TS, or Anyone who falls within the broad Transgendered Spectrum Path, if they need help, we are here.
